World Alzheimer’s Month is the international campaign from Alzheimer’s Disease International that takes place every September.

Each September, people unite from all corners of the world to raise awareness and to challenge the stigma that persists around Alzheimer’s disease and all types of dementia.

During World Alzheimer’s Month, we call on everyone, from individuals to large organisations, including every Alzheimer and dementia association globally, to support World Alzheimer’s Month by getting involved in the campaign.

This September, we are be advocating for greater awareness and understanding around dementia in a direct campaign that encourages people to ask about dementia. Using the hashtag #AskAboutDementia #AskAboutAlzheimers, we are seeking to change peoples’ perceptions and normalise asking questions and learning more about the condition and how it impacts over 55 million people living with dementia globally and their carers.
