Travel Vaccinations

Earls Barton & Penvale Park Medical Centre do not run Private vaccination Travel Clinics.  

The vaccinations we can give which are on the NHS include Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Cholera and Polio (given combined as diphtheria, tetanus and polio) 

Vaccinations that must be done at a Travel Clinics (which can include your local pharmacy) are Hepatitis B, Meningitis, Rabies, Tuberculosis, Yellow fever and types of Encephalitis. These vaccinations you have to pay for.

If possible, see the GP or a private travel clinic at least 6 to 8 weeks before you’re due to travel. Some vaccines need to be given well in advance to allow your body to develop immunity. And some vaccines involve a number of doses spread over several weeks or months.


Please note:

If you’re only travelling to countries in northern and central Europe, North America or Australia, you’re unlikely to need any vaccinations.
